KWMR, West Marin Community Radio is partnering with Point Reyes Open Studios (PROS) for a group show at Toby’s Gallery in Point Reyes Station during the month of May, 2012.

Art from 21 participating artists will be on display from May 2 – May 30 at Toby’s Gallery, 11250 State Route 1, Point Reyes Station, California 94956. Gallery Hours are Monday through Saturday 9-5 and Sunday 10 – 5.

An Opening Reception will be held on Saturday, May 12 from 1 - 4 pm at the gallery.

A portion of the proceeds from the art sold from the Gallery will be donated to KWMR. Tune in to KWMR  at the following times for interviews with the artists:

            Wednesday, May 16 from 5:30 to 6:30 pm on Epicenter.

            Thursday, May 17 from 9:00 to 10:00 am on Swimming Upstream.

            Tuesday, May 22 from 8:00 to 9:00 am on Rise and Shine

Artists will discuss their artwork, the Art Show and Point Reyes Open Studios.

Art lovers from around the Bay Area are invited to tour artists' studios in the Point Reyes area during the annual Point Reyes Open Studios (PROS) event this Memorial Day weekend, May 26-28 — Saturday through Monday, 11 AM to 5 PM each day. The printed tour of Point Reyes Open Studios leads visitors along the back roads of this scenic rural area known for hiking trails, beaches, restaurants and inns less than an hour drive from San Francisco.

Over 20 of West Marin’s artists, among West Marin's finest sculptors, photographers, potters, painters, printmakers and woodworkers —open their studios to the public during the three day holiday weekend. .Visitors will be able to meet the artists, see new original work and explore the studios and workshops where the art is created. Several artists plan demonstrations of their complex craft techniques, and at least one studio will allow visitors to pull their own keepsake prints.
