Nick's Cove Creditors Out of Luck; Marin Open Parks Coalition Schedules Forum; and Election Results for Lagunitas School District Board of Trustees  George Clyde reports three short stories today: the Open Parks Coalition will host a public forum on saving Marin's State parks at the Osher Center next Tuesday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM; over 50 creditors of Pat Kuleto's failed Nick's Cove venture are left with more than $250,000 unpaid; and Lagunitas incumbents Santa Cruz-Bohman and Sloan are re-elected in an acrimonious campaign described by Lynn Axelrod, whose full report will be in this week's Citizen.

Almost Every Local Non-Profit Attended a Meeting Yesterday to Learn about the New West Marin Fund  With $250,000 already raised and a goal of reaching $2 million by the end of 2012, the Directors of the new foundation told of the plans for the future and got input from local non-profits.  George Clyde spoke with Director Steve Costa and with Inverness Garden Club representative Barbara Jay of Inverness Park.

The Dance Palace Has Appointed a New Technical Director  Executive Director Dan Mankin announces the appointment of Burton Eubank  of Inverness to fill the position left vacant by the departure of Jerry Lunsford, who held the position for 12 years.  Eubank tells George Clyde about the job and some of his plans and needs for the Dance Palace audio and acoustics.

Less Than Two Years After Purchase, Borello Ranch Investors Are Offering the Property at Twice the  $4+ Million Purchase Price  Broker Andrew Wheelright of California Outdoor Properties hopes to sell the three buildable parcels near Millerton Point in Marshall - a total of  853 acres - for $8.35 Million, targeting wealthy executives.  He tells George Clyde that the septic ponds are closed for now.  Links to prior story and listing.

State Water Resources Control Board Proposes New Regulations for Septic Systems Under AB-885   Homes within 600 feet of Tomales Bay and Lagunitas Creek may face expensive septic upgrades within five years if proposals are adopted, and local groundwater testing may be required.
