Russ is a peace researcher and advocate who has been studying national security policy how to create a more peaceful world since the events of 9/11. A former defense engineer before he came to his senses, he invites guests to talk about their area of interest and how it relates to the admittedly ambitious topic of world peace and how to get there. He blogs about the subject on his website transitiontopeace.com and is active with Transition West Marin, believing that positive change will come from the bottom up. He lives on a small horse ranch in Dogtown with his wife, Anne Sands and when not writing about peace, he can be found there shoveling horse manure and tending to his vegetable garden.
