Host Robin Carpenter and KWMR next door neighbor, Chef Missy Will, talk about local and international wine & spirits as well as our wonderful local foods, artistically shaped root vegetables and ways to get your guests be more adventurous. They also share secrets for blissful, delicious holidays. Chef Missy Will is a romantic at heart when it comes to pairing food and wine and treats every kitchen she works in as her “Sacred Space.” She is one of the new shining stars helping out every Saturday at the Point Reyes Farmers Market Chef's Booth as well as bringing her knowledge, events and artistry to our commnity.
Chef Missy Will has several years experience in event planning for corporate clients and private events and before moving to Point Reyes, California, Chef Missy was a winery chef and events director at Woodhouse Family Cellars, director of operations at Sizzleworks Cooking School, and culinary director at Villa Cucina Culinary Center. During this time, she also catered food for several area wineries during their new releases and client pick-up events.
Chef Missy has earned certificates in wine education, wine business management and culinary arts from Sonoma State University, Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET Level 2), and Laguna Culinary Arts. She has also served on the board of directors for the Seattle Wine Society and Woodinville Wine Country, and she is a member of The American Institute of Food and Wine, Women Chefs and Restauranteurs’ Association, Washington Wine Commission, and Napa/Sonoma Women for WineSense.
